Our peers play a vital role in our partnership efforts within the Haringey Recovery Treatment Service (HARTS) project. As part of this initiative, they visit various services in Haringey and engage directly with individuals who may benefit from treatment and support. Through open conversations, they listen attentively to people’s experiences, challenges, and needs, providing a compassionate and understanding presence. Using their own lived experiences, our peers offer encouragement and guidance, helping individuals recognise that recovery is possible. By sharing their personal journeys, they inspire others to take the first step towards treatment and long-term well-being. They also play a crucial role in signposting individuals to the most appropriate services, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need.
Our peer-led approach fosters trust and relatability, breaking down barriers to treatment and making recovery feel more accessible. Through their dedication and first-hand
understanding, our peers empower individuals to seek help, embrace positive change, and build a healthier future.
