Our Mission

Our Mission

BUBIC is commissioned to do three-day time Outreaches a week, consisting of community engagement, promoting community engagement, setting up stalls in areas where the ASBAT team have been notified with Intelligence from them and the police.

BUBIC travel around the Community to provide food, drinks, warm clothing, and toiletries to vulnerable adult’s day and night. This service enables us to go into any part of the community to provide information, drug awareness, guidance, and support by signposting to the relevant services related to the individual’s needs.

We work closely with the local Community and local stakeholders to identify local needs. We are also able to undertake home visits to facilitate active engagement for those who have disengaged with the Services.

Outreach is a process of active engagement in known hotspots in the Community to reduce anti-social behaviour and improve health through harm reduction. The aim is to engage with hard-to-reach clients and encourage them to get into treatment.

Our Vision

BUBIC aims to reduce crack cocaine and other drug use and addiction in North London.

Our strength lies in our approach. We work in and with communities to encourage and support ex-users to become peer mentors and advisors to help those who are addicted to drugs recognize the causes and effect of their addiction and to give them practical advice and emotional support to combat their addiction.

We achieve this by:

  • Working in partnership with voluntary and statutory agencies.

  • Providing clients with volunteer mentors who offer advice, guidance and support.

  • Reaching out to users in the community.

  • Providing and developing peer support sessions in priority neighbourhoods.

  • Working with ex-users, current users, families and friends,

  • Taking our message into the community, schools and colleges.

  • If you, or anyone you know is addicted to drugs or affected by someone else’s addiction then BUBIC can.

Our staff and volunteers (many of whom are ex-users) run support groups and other activities across Haringey, North London. If you, or anyone you know is addicted to drugs or affected by someone else’s addiction, then BUBIC can help.
